I love salvias they are great. Mine didn’t stop flowering until nearly December last year. I’ve had it 3 years and it’s huge

    2. My neighbor has an enormous hot lips which frequently blooms year round. Fantastic early food source when the bees wake up!

    3. Fairly new to having an allotment in the UK. I Love salvias, especially all these *S. greggii* perennial varieties with profuse small flowers. I had a huge collection of them in New Zealand! Now got 2 small plants at my allotment now, and definitely plan to collect more of the colours .

…. Please advise: **do they need protecting with frost cloth or rain protection or suchlike here in winter?** I am in central Scotland. How do I keep them going? My experience of growing them is in a much warmer (and drier) climate.

(*Of course I am still getting used to these cold wet winters myself lol*.)

Advice would be very much appreciated! Thanks.

We love Salvias too but even a garlic solution doesn’t deter snails/slugs – any tips for keeping the alive/uneaten??!

    6. Stunners. In the UK theyll often flower right up to the first frostkeep deadheading and they wont quit. A light mulch now helps them overwinter. Looks like a microphylla-type?
