I don’t know. I would have started it in sphagnum moss. Never did a node this way

  2. Pretty good, you have a node and at least 2 aerial root nubs that I can see, so it’s definitely viable.

A nice warm/moist environment may help its chances. I like to prop in a clear container that has a lid ( or you can cover with clear plastic and puncture holes in it) with moist sphagnum moss in a bright location. I don’t snap the lid on, just set it on top. That way some air still gets in. I open it up once in a while too, just to make sure. Be weary of hot direct sun. Does depend on where you live (and plant) but my props do well with morning sun/east window. I found that the wetness of the moss is key- can’t be too much. This makes a nice warm humid environment for the little plant baby.

As long as it can produce a single leaf it will survive 😭

Good….I also, use a powdered root stimulator on mine…but technically, it’s not necessary…if you wanna propagate another plant…putting a pothos in with it will help it grow faster….so I have heard through the grapevine. Good luck.

try a prop box instead, it decreases the chance of it rotting in the water! what i do is i take a clear takeout container and line the bottom with perlite, then fill in the rest with (damp, not soaked) sphagnum moss. i put the cutting in there, cover with a clear lid or plastic wrap, put it in a nice sunny spot, and wait! i’ve propped lots of nodes that way
