Ich habe meinen Vorgarten vor einigen Monaten gepostet und hier ist ein Update! Wirklich zufrieden damit, wie er aussieht.
Um das Gras herum befindet sich ein Lavendelring, der mit der Zeit wachsen wird.
Ich habe versucht, einige wurzelnackte Prachtkerzen einzusetzen, aber in meiner Naivität wurden sie von Schnecken zerstört!
Ich möchte ein paar Lücken mit weiteren Pflanzen füllen, daher sind Vorschläge willkommen.

Great work! It’s such an improvement! As for suggestions, I saw a garden recently with a combination of lavender and hydrangeas (limelight or similar) in the border that was stunning. Hydrangeas are pretty slug resistant too!

Lovely! The lavender will indeed fill in the space well for summer. Do you have any early spring colour in there? My suggestion would be to get some bulbs planted this autumn (I’d go for white daffodils and a contrasting dark tulip, but there’s loads of choice).

Get some core edge edging for the grass. The lines it will give you are super sharp and it makes mowing so easy.
Mother Nature thanks you from the bottom of their heart, plus that artificial grass looked terrible and now your garden looks lovely.

Ha that’s really cute. Lovely transformation. Why don’t you look at ground cover like Corsican mint, creeping thyme etc, in order to fill out the gaps.

It’s a great improvement, but where will you sit, so you’ll enjoy admiring your hard work?
I’d maybe add some perennial herbs such as rosemary, sage, etc. Geranium rosanne looks good with lavender & when my talk spires of sage flower, it’s a riot of purple buzzing with bees.
We bought a small rosemary, maybe 4 cm tall and planted it in our front garden. It’s now over a metre and it would be taller except we cut it right back to stop it getting woody. Great to eat as long as you pick above dog leg height. And flowers very early. Bees love it.

This is AMAZING. It’s really put a smile on my face. If you’re really wanting to maximise planting, a few ideas are:
1. Grow a rambling rose up the wall. Don’t get a climbing rose, they only flower at the top. You’ll spot it everywhere now, where people have wanted to grow roses over a door frame and they end up with some sticks with a few roses at the top. A rambler is way better.
2. Grow something like jasmine or honeysuckle through the front railings and/or the side railings if you own it or your neighbour is amenable.
3. Stuff the lawn area with crocus bulbs for some early spring interest.
4. For extra planting, repeat plants you already have. If there are any plants you just have one of like the erygnium, then repeating it or forming a larger clump can look really cohesive. Having a contrasting colour to the purple could really work. A vibrant peachy colour or white would really look good, or a bright lime green. A really lime green euphorbia could work or a limey coloured hellebore (also good for winter flowers and interest), sutton’s apricot foxgloves (the benefit is they self seed to fill gaps as needed over time too), geum mai tai is peachy as well. I also love chives, alliums, agapanthus, ox eye daisy, geraniums, cornflowers, daffodils, snowdrops, lilac poppies.
5. As a bonus idea you could also add a bird bath to the middle of the lawn area. Get a nice, really simple, stylish one, either raised or low to the ground.
Great improvement. I’d leave it to grow for a year or 2 now, you’ll be surprised by how much everything will grow and fill the gaps naturally.
So much nicer, and looks bigger too!
Once that lavender grows up you’ll get beautiful wafts of scent as you come and go from your house as well 🙂
