      I highly advice you to learn Bonsai if you are planning to keep that tree indoors and “short.” Avocado trees are HUGE!

      “Training” the branch growth of that tree will help keep everything down. Just make sure you don’t do it during the growing season.

      It will bear fruits just like other avocado trees in a few years.

      You can check out some [insert fruit name] bonsai tree in youtube for some ideas.

      Impressive! Did you trim it at any point?

      Im thinking ablut cutting the top of mine to encourage it to branch out – did you do that or did it all beauty by itself?:o

      Wow this tree is stunning. You have some green thumb. I have one and its about 3′ tall-just one slim stem going up. Its been outside all summer and is doing well. I will bring it in soon. We get cold winters in NYC and I hope I can keep it growing to get like yours one day. That tree is really unbelievable. Thank you for posting.

      You could probably cut just above the canopy where it Ys to the two touching the ceiling and it’ll grow bushier instead of towering weird. I use a torch lighter to cauterize

      Mine is about three years old and barely bigger than it got in its first 3 months.

      You’re growing it indoors without a grow bulb?! Dope! If they take 10+ years I should probably get started whether I have a yard or not lmao

      How do you keep it alive? Every seed I’ve managed to propagate ends up dying after 5 months.

      Oh wow that’s awesome!! My family and I recently started growing one too last year and the changes since then have been wonderful to see. I’m in awe looking at yours and can’t wait to see how mine will grow in the 4 years too!

      That’s amazing. Getting it mature enough to produce avocado would be a dream. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an avocado plant that big indoors.

      Ok I’m sorry I’m very new to this sub and growing plants indoors

      I randomly started growing an avocado tree a few months ago and didn’t realise they grow this big… Am I in trouble? Do I need to do something to it because right now I just water it and leave it too it and it just keeps growing but I thought it would always stay the size of the plant you have behind this mammoth

      I guess I need to buy a bigger plant pot??

      Pretty awesome. I continue to upgrade the pots for my avo trees. My oldest has exploded this year but I still get huge spots that dry out the leaves. They usually respond by making more leaves but I’m jealous with how lush yours looks. Mine stays outside

      Hi there. Ive been wanting a big house plant for a while now, Maybe I should grow my own instead of buying, could be a pretty cool project. Did you just start with a storebought seed? Or did you just use the stone from a store bought avacado(im sorry if this is a stupid question lol)?

      Does it need any ekstra fertilizer right away, or later?

      My avocado was a gift and came with dark purple leaves. It’s put on some growth over the last year but still has the purple foliage. Does anyone else know if that’s a normal coloration or if it’s lacking something it needs?

      Wow!! I need your help! I have an Avocado I grew from a pit. It’s about a year old and a foot tall. It doesn’t seam to want to grow like that. What’s your soil situation?
