I maybe see some roots. You might be able to nurse it back to health.
It’s a Xanthosoma? Yes, you can plant it as is, just be sure that you take part of the rhizome and preferably with roots.
The current leaves probably will turn yellowish and die for the stress, but those a hardy plants and you only have to wait for the new leaves to grow.
Dip in water for 4 hours. Then plant it.

You’re gonna have to stake it. It won’t be strong enough to support itself, and it will just literally fold.
