Ahh that’s so horrible. I’m really sorry that happened, I hope you’re ok. 😔Definitely report it to the police! -And all your lovely plants will be ok, set up the plant stand again in a different spot, and maybe get a nice grow lamp for them all. 😊

that sucks. But (and this is a real question) do they really need new soil? The glass is just on top, and isn’t gonna move around and cut roots or anything… if you don’t have pets/kids who’ll mess around with them and don’t plan on sticking your hands in it, you can probably wait to repot, no? I would understand why you’d want to, to get rid of the memory, but if you’re feeling overwhelmed by it, I think it can wait with little additional harm to the plants. If I’m wrong I’m sure someone will correct me 🙂

I broke a glass over one of my pants once and I just held the plant as best as possible and turned it over over the trash can. I lost the top 2 inches of soil but it was much easier to just top it off than have to remember it later. Good luck and I’m so sorry about your poor plants with potential damage and your pockets having to fix the window.

    5. So sorry you are having to deal with this! You have a beautiful plant collection! Keep that in mind and better days ahead! 😊🪴☀️

take each plant carefully and turn it upside down and hit it so the glass that fell out falls out
Hit it enough where some extra soil falls out to be safe , then you can add extra soil to replace the lost soil

Do that to al the plants, the glass isn’t going to get that deep , take it down an inch if you want to be safe and replace that inch again

Wtffff!!! I’m so sorry this happened to you🥺 karma will bite them back. Best of luck with getting the glass out, I second using a vacuum to suck the shards out. I wonder if it’d be easier if the soil was dry vs. wet though.
Please use protection as well so you don’t get hurt!
