      I’m propping one of these in water right now. It’s rooted super quickly and after only a couple weeks is ready for soil.

      The saddest disappointment I’ve ever bought three times.

      I think they don’t like my zone 2 east facing window and untreated well water, but they aren’t allowed to come to my house anymore.🤣🤣

      Ficus lyrata, in 6 months it’ll either have a budding baby leaf or be a naked stick bearing the crispy remnants of life past.

      I have a fiddle leaf fig plant I saved from someone, it had 2 stems and on one only had 3 to 4 leaves.

      It now has 3 stems and the leaves don’t stop coming in on all three stems.

      They key is to find a spot with sunlight on and off, don’t move it unless to turn it, and water it going on how hot to cold it is outside, hot do more cold do less. ( 7 days to 11days)

      And if it’s inside I would do the 11 days, they are hardy and really like being left alone, if you do too much they become very finicky and die.

      Fiddle leaf.
      Very temperamental.
      Worth researching before buying.
      Also possibly dangerous for pets/kids (???)

      That’s a fiddle leaf fig. 

      Typically all the leaves all fall off over the next 3 months. If you’re lucky, one last leaf will hang on and the plant will recover. I’m only slightly joking.

      Somehow I grew mine 10 feet tall neglecting the hell out of it and moving across country 3x! May you have my luck

      Don’t do it. If you cry, she will die. If you smile, she will die. Slow and steady, she will wither and as she does you’ll question why and every decision you made in your life.

      While these are sold as indoor plants, these trees do MUCH better outside in dappled shade. Inside they will disappoint you. I consider these “patio plants”.

      Once you find out where it’s happy (pushing new growth), don’t move it. Even moving it a couple feet from that spot can cause it to throw a fit where it defoliates all of its leaves.

      Just be wary of spidermites, they friggin love fiddles for whatever reason.

      If you think those leaves are pretty just wait until there’s one of ‘em!

      Put it in a west or south facing window and never look at it again. Only water every 2-3 wks when soil is dry.
