      No, but they can benefit the plant by eating diseased roots. Worms also eat fungi.. so keep that in mind if you ever plan to inoculate your soils. Your spider plant looks gorgeous

      Earthworm baby. Please help him out of the water and back into the soil. They drown.

      If you’d like to learn more about our slimy little friends; look into vermiculture. It’s a very interesting hobby. I want to do it, but I don’t want to do it lol. We have a nice box at our garden that I can draw from if I need more. Your little guy might run out of food when it gets sick of dead roots. You might want to add a tiny bit of new organic matter to the pot once in a while..
