Seeing the radicles pop is the ultimate gardener high. That variegated bean in the center left looks especially promising.

I’m trying to grow limas and pintos. I soaked them in glass bowl of water on top of my grow matt, but it was under lights. They didn’t sprout, i just waited about 15 hours and then planted them in a big planter outside. It’s been almost 2 weeks, should I try again, or should I wait these out?
How did you do it?
Does pre germination help somehow? What are the benefits vs just planting them un-sprouted?
