The discolouration and browning is caused by cold wind or slight frost. Keep the camellia in a sheltered position.

  2. Its caused by frost and not being thawed out fully when the first sun of the day hits it.

Nothing is wrong with the plant. Simply, camellia flowers are opening in batches, some are in bud, some have just opened and the rest are now spent (remove them gently, as just beneath them new stems are forming).

Quite common with Camellia, usually caused by the blooms getting wet or frosted followed by the sun hitting them. Try and put it in a more sheltered spot if you can

The blooms do also open over a staggered timeframe (rather than all at once) so it’s pretty normal to have some buds or newly opened blooms while others are naturally browning and dropping off

  5. Some varieties like yours hold on to their flowers instead of dropping them – this means they get discoloured from the rain etc & can look a bit shabby.
