Persönlich war ich damals immer sehr zufrieden und habe immer nach ihren Sachen Ausschau gehalten – aber das meiste davon scheint innerhalb eines Jahres zu sterben. Ich denke, mit dem Kompost bekommt man irgendwie das, wofür man bezahlt.

I’ve got some great acers from Lidl that have grown well in pots.
Their compost is great! I got a lilac tree and some strawberry plants from them that are doing amazingly too.
Good quality for the price, but like any garden centre, it helps to know what you actually want. I’ve had some decent dahlia tubers, peonies and daffodil mixed collections (with named varieties, which makes a change from some supermarkets). I like their dwarf sunflower seeds – decent mix of colours. But some of the stuff has been just OK, and I’ve not bothered again. Tools seem to be decent too. Got a nice weeding trowel and multi-tool for not very much. Oh, and their indoor plants are good value, with some decent variety.
They’re ok, but Morrisons are WAY better. For example, they have 20 varieties of fuschias every year for £1.50 each.
I got a honeysuckle from them 2 years ago and its now about 12ft tall
Their seeds are great value.
I’ve bought some of their secateurs about five years ago and they are still going. Also unrelated but their torque wrench is useful for bike stuff.
From Aldi I have bought three different citrus trees over the years and all are doing great. One lemon that produces large Sicilian style ones, one lemon that produces small round ones with thin skin and a lime. Can recommend them when they re available
Morrisons seem to be the one supermarket near me that always has an excess of compost at seasons end, so I stock up then. Usually £1.50 for 40l or so, just keep it dry over winter and I have enough compost for all seed starting and topping up pots for not much. Plus grow more etc
I’ve got loads of different seeds from there over the years flowers and veg never had any issues always germinate well
