  1. I don’t see how any of those could grow strong enough to stand up.

  2. I’d try taking them outside and getting some direct sun and a breeze.

Well, they’re sunflowers, not partial-sun flowers.

More light, deeper/bigger pots. Their root structures are insane when fullly developed.

  4. Thanks for posting this. My swamp milkweed did the same and I’m sure it was for the same reason.

I had a Sunflower stalk bust out and grow from a bag of soil. Very curious. I think the seed must have come from the bird feeders.

  6. Sunflowers need full sun if leggy, move play closer to light source. Do not let them completely dry out or you risk losing the plant.

Not enough strong light. You can put them outside but bury them all the way to the two green leaves. They won’t recover on their own so leggy.

Never had any luck with sunflowers unless you just direct sow them where they are going to live. They don’t transplant well either.

I learned something new today. I didn’t know transplanting sunflowers was even possible because of their taproot. Apparently you can plant them deep , and they’ll root from the stem like tomatoes. Yours are a little too leggy, though. I’m not sure they’ll do well. According to Google, you have to transplant them young when they’re only a few inches tall to avoid disturbing the taproot, and biodegradable pots are better. I’d start over.
