Ich hoffe auf ein wenig Hilfe, unser Rasen ist von einem Schädling befallen und ich versuche herauszufinden, ob es sich um Käferlarven, Dickmaulrüssler oder Lederjacken handelt, damit ich vielleicht die richtigen Nematoden kaufen kann. Für ein wenig Hilfe wäre ich ewig dankbar, wenn jemand Bescheid weiß? 🙏 Danke

Are they causing damage to the lawn?
I believe so, there seem to be more patches of dead grass and I see them when I did under the soil so I am assuming they are the cause, they seem to be attracting crows, I think they are leatherjackets but I’m not certain.
Chafer grubs. They eat the roots of the grass and then the crows rip it up looking for them. Quite destructive really. The only way to deal with them is using an insecticide, but that will be detrimental to many other animals and insects at the same time. So not really worth it in my opinion.
I would wait until April and then topsoil and seed the patches that have been destroyed instead.
Leatherjackets a good natural to control is nematodes. But use the right type you will find four different types.
Use namatodes, roughly now and then again in September/October I think.
