Falsch! Haha. Ich hoffe, es tauchen immer mehr auf!

You should have so many hopefully!! I’ve never grown asparagus but that looks a good start to asparagus harvests
Just the one in the pan took me out 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome! Im hoping mine come in this year too
I heard an asparagus farmer say that it can take up to seven years for asparagus to crop

Whoohoo! The first asparagus harvest! Love it!
Always leave one, then two, then three.
Eeeeeeeee! Asapara-babyyyyy! So cute!
You don’t even need to cook them. When they’re that fresh, you can eat them right there – they are truly amazing!
Tagging on to this, I started some in pots. I’m getting one very long and leggy spear starting in each. Is this normal? I’ve read they take years and get huge and will transplant outside (unless told not to). They are in 4 6 and 8 inch pots in various mild to bright light.
Yes! I ate my first 2 yesterday too!
I absolutely love it.
What a feast.
I grew asparagus for a couple years, fresh is best. Never had a large harvest, but one is better than none!
Meanwhile we have ice and school is just going to continue for the kids straight through to 2027
Looks nice and healthy. I started mine 3 years ago and this will be my first harvest year. I live in Northern California and with the warm weather I have had quit a few already. Good luck with yours
He threw that uno asparagus in a pan with no seasoning, veggies, water..🤣🤣
Best 2-3 year wait ever! Once they start popping they’ll never start popping
Yeah man! Patience ❤️
You should really just let it seed for another year or two. Then you’re good for like 10+ years. As long as you let it seed early-mid summer.

Yay! I love growing asparagus it’s both delicious and beautiful.
😍😍 this is what I call them, too! So excited for you!
Lowkey thought it was a angry snake at first
That’s so exciting!
It’s going to taste so good!
We shall call him “gus”. LOL.
I’m starting asparagus this year. Have the bulbs ordered and the bed waiting. I’ll keep in mind that if they don’t come up this summer to wait before giving up.
Happy aspara-fry to you and your aspara-guy😋
Never have to replant them
Still looks good in size!
I call em Gus, A spear of Gus

Mmm, a small bite of delicious!
FYI: they taste pretty darn good fresh picked standing in the garden. 😉
Congratulations!
if you get more: coat them in egg, roll them in super fine parmesan+breadcrumbs+garlic salt+oregano+basil and stick them in the oven for a bit . Trust.
When I was a kid, I used to eat these straight from the garden while playing outside like a snack.
We rarely got enough to bring in and cook, but can you really be mad at a kid for eating their veggies lol
Well that escalated quickly….
Uhh you don’t harvest them the first 3 to 4 years. You let them go to seed.
Congrats. Maybe I’ll take that technique one day. I bought some seeds to plant, and then seasoned gardeners told me that you really sunny get a harvest until 3 years out, which totally killed my enthusiasm for growing my own. I love asparagus, but I can’t deal with a 3 year wait, and I have to make better use of what little space I have.
Congrats!
It’s the first thing that comes up in my garden haven’t seen any yet though.
**Haha, I totally understand why you ate just one asparagus spear. I used to grow vegetables in my upstairs garden, and I would go up to check on them every day. As long as they were edible, no matter how much there was, I would never let them stay until the next day. I really enjoyed the happiness of self-sufficiency.**
Asparagus grows like it’s trying to trick some idiot into thinking that’s how asparagus grows
Only harvest about half this year tops next year 3/4
Is aspara guy’s name Gus?
beautiful
They look so laughably un natural. The way they just shoot out of the ground lol
