Ich bin auf der Suche nach einem Rat. Habe diesen Baum geerbt, der etwa 6/7 Jahre alt ist. Ich glaube, es ist eine Hängebirke, eine Trauer- und Miniaturbirke.
Es gibt einen Ast, der vom Hauptstamm abgewichen ist. Es sieht nicht besonders gut aus und im Nachhinein hätte ich mich im Laufe der Jahre mehr darum kümmern sollen.
Wie schneidet und beschneidet man den Baum, um ihn wieder in einen guten Zustand zu bringen? Ich möchte es ziemlich klein und in Schach halten.

Why does it need pruning? It looks fine to me. Birch’s generally look awful when people start hacking away at them.
It needs a little bit of pruning, shortening top branches, it has to look similar from all directions you look at it. When comparing your two images, the second shows a good shape, It is difficult to advice where to cut using yor image, as some of the lower branches may belong to the tree behind it. Note: If the brunch you cut is thick, the birch should be dormant, otherwise it bleeds quite a bit.
