Add more plants. Nature abhors a vacuum – if you don’t put a plant there, it will. You can either choose the plant yourself, or end up with whatever volunteers to grow there. If you really want some spots to not have plants, consider deep mulch. You can probably get a big pile for free from local arborists, either directly or through chipdrop. It’s also much easier to pull weeds from mulched soil.
Gravel is difficult – is that a gravel driveway? For a gravel path, most people suggest a flamethrower.
The flowers are beautiful, and I love the dinosaur.
