Was denken wir darüber? Sie haben einen Fehler gemacht, oder? Ich bin mir sicher, dass diese Töpfe nicht dafür gedacht sind, in die Erde zu gehen, oder?

This is the sapling that was thought to have gone missing, but was actually dug up and replanted elsewhere as the original location was unsuitable due to waterlogging.
I assume they intended to hold the planting ceremony at the original planned location for a photo opportunity, but planned to dig it back up again shortly after so left it in the pot to make digging it up easier.
there were 49 of these saplings in air pots given to community groups. they can be planted in the ground for the winter but should be removed in the spring.
but it wouldn’t surprise anyone in the slightest if this picture was from a local clueless council planting one.

Tree are most fragile as babies and starting them in pots is a sensible way to keep an eye on root development in the first few years.
Buring the pot means people won’t walk off with it.
Local municipality started going that after some fancy saplings got stolen from a tree park.
not to mention theyre planting an invasive species lol

Why are we planting sycamores with such fanfare? They grow like weeds here and crowd out all the diversity

Shouldn’t matter when buried. There’s loads of holes in bottom as well as sides. Outside their supposed to air prune the roots. They haven’t got a clue and didn’t take it off B4 planting.

Air pots, made from recycled plastic bottles, reverse root tips for ‘air trimming’ – can be buried.

They are air pots designed to create large root systems naturally ‘pruned’ by air to avoid roots curling around the inside of the pot and becoming pot bound. No need for removal as the roots will just extend into the earth once the pot is planted.

Awww,…Look at them all standing on track mats, all nice and clean with brand new spotlessly clean boots. Even bought a nice shiny new spade for them to play pretend with. Love these photo ops, so much BS in one photo. Probably turned a £100 Job into a £2000 job just so some desk jockeys can pretend to look like they’ve made an effort and like they care about their environment . LOL
Bet they didn’t even give the landscaper credit for baby sitting them.

Not sure on the pot, but your man with them yellow desert boots has definitely made a mistake.

Regardless of planting techniques, people caring about this while gap thing is dumb… Itsva fucking tree. We cut and burn millions that are older than this and more important to the ecosystem
Wait, why is it being planted way down south. Wasn’t the tree originally on Hadrian’s wall in the north?

I’ve got a sapling that I saved from the sheep in April before the tree was filled.

I’m more concerned about the inspection panel _right next_ to the hole and any services running underneath.

The pot should of been removed. These are air pots, designed to ‘air prune’ any protruding roots that come through the holes stopping the plant from becoming root bound. They’re not really biodegradable either. So should of been removed

Let’s make sure to waste as much cash as possible rather than plant extra trees ffs !!!!!
It will continue to grow now it’s planted, but ideally that air pot should have been removed prior to planting to be reused and not just a lump of plastic at the base of a tree
