Also habe ich es endlich geschafft, eine Avocado in Wasser zu legen und sie in die Erde zu übertragen. Meine Frage ist, ist es normal, dass es fast 18 Zoll wächst, bevor der erste blatttragende Abschnitt beginnt, oder mache ich etwas falsch?

    1. Congratulations on successfully transplanting your avocado! What’s happening to your avocado is that it’s “stalked up”: that long, leafless stem indicates it’s desperately seeking more light. While this is common indoors, ideally it should receive much more direct sunlight to grow strong. A common trick is to prune the stem back in half (when it has about 15-20 cm of leaves) to encourage it to grow outwards and not just upwards, making the trunk thicker. Best of luck with your plant!
