Hallo zusammen, meine Frau hat mich gebeten, Fehler in ihrer Pflanze zu beheben, also dachte ich, ich stelle das hier raus, es ist ihre derzeit traurig aussehende Calathea, das ist es jedenfalls, was ich denke
Er wird regelmäßig gegossen (sie sagt, basierend auf dem, was ihr der Pflanzenladen gesagt hat) und sieht erst seit Kurzem so aus, als ob die Basis des Stängels den Rest nicht tragen könnte. Sie hat ihm geeignetes Pflanzenfutter gegeben, es von unserer Katze ferngehalten und hier und da die ein oder andere Sackgasse beseitigt.
Ich habe die Theorie, dass wir jetzt im Winter sind und es auf einem Regal 1,5 m über einem Heizkörper steht. Offensichtlich ist dieser Heizkörper im Sommer nie eingeschaltet, aber ich frage mich, ob das jetzt, wo er regelmäßig eingeschaltet ist, ein Problem verursacht?
Irgendwelche Vorschläge wären nett, Prost im Voraus!

Oh no, above the radiator is not good! Calatheas like moist soil, and you’re probably shocking the plant with a dry and warm soil. It looks like it could recover, so find a better place for it (where the soil can stay moist) and make sure you don’t over water either. I have two calatheas (different species than yours) and I give about 10cl of water every other day. They’re in the sun but far from a heat source, and they’re doing well now!
You can also spray it with water every now and then as they like humidity.
I have a couple of calathea including this cultivar. Winters here mean no more feeding and not much water needed either. The radiator sounds like the main issue to me though. They like a stable environment. Indirect light or brief sunlight during the day is okay, so I would move it away from the radiator & onto an east or north facing windowsill for recovery, or into the bathroom.
