    1. It’s not the size, it’s how you use it…

But in all seriousness. Most like lack of water and poor soil nutrition. Get some leaf mulch on the garden soil this winter. Make sure you water well next year.

We had the opposite problem this year and had TOO much rain and it over saturated our soil. We fought a losing battle against all the weeds. It was a valiant effort but proved futile. We got an ok harvest but not great. Pumpkins did great though!

lol! With fertilizer and labor that’s probably like $7.00 a carrot. 😉

At least they’re not small potatoes.

Better luck next round. This is just the beginning and I’m sure your next harvest will be better!

That looks so familiar to me, I just harvested maybe 30 just like that. Also harvested another 50 or so from a partially shaded area of my garden. The drought/heat this year was tough on the full sun parts of my garden (except for my peppers).

Poor carrot! You ain’t making carrots and rasin salad today!

    6. It was a weird growing season it took more than a month for my carrot seeds to germinate I was about to reseed and then they were all up and then the best crop in 20+ years

    7. carrots are a tuber, a root crop

they need phosphorous and potassium only

think mkp or sulfate of potash
