Because there’s no law against overcharging.
They look similar yet very different when you look closer. The first one has more aurea yellowish tones and the stems are light green with darker dots.
Can’t say much about the price as I think that is out of the realm for most mortals.
The price is pretty wild but that is not that same kind of Alocasia you have. You have a Dragon Scale variegated (which is incredibly beautiful, I have one too) but I know from having one the stem looks different than the one for sale, I have a pink dragon Alocasia that has a somewhat similar stem. Also the leaves on the one for sale are more heart shaped than your dragon scale. I don’t know what kind it is but it’s like the “most rare one” right now and in a year you will be able to get them anywhere for $30. It’s just the plant world right now
You think thats nuts? my daughter collects the monster high skullector dolls and the original shining brady twins people want 1k for..shit you not!!! Its all about what is the rage right now in anything you buy thats rare or limited.
