Pumpaloupe or Cantakin
Last year I was breaking my back to grow pumpkins that would NOT grow. Horrible horrible harvest. I discovered a bird pooped in my side garden bed and a beautiful pumpkin grew without my knowledge or help
Same thing happened in our little compost area this year and we got several off the vines. I am putting specific ones i bought back there in hopes of fun pumpkins lol
Fully corked
Looks like it might be a Jarrahdale
Squashkin! OP you might want to save those seeds & plant them. You might have something new.
It is a joy to find this surprise in your yard in my house they also happen
Save the seeds!
Gonna need to see the inside and know what it tastes like
He was dressed up for Halloween as a cantaloupe and no one noticed 😭
Texture looks like a font for a heavy metal band. I just wanna touch it!
Cut it open!
This is due to variable watering schedule. Essentially a scar that’s forming because of periods of drought. You see this with a lot of vegetables.
Cinderella or ironside maybe?🤷♂️
What does it taste like
Enjoy your pumpkelope!
So interesting! Please cut it, try it, and post again. I would love to see it.

My ‘harvest moon’ winter squash from burpee looks really similar. (PS each vine gave me only ONE squash and I will not grow this again..) I’ll let you know how it tastes when I bake it in a couple of weeks for Thanksgiving.
LOL that looks like pumpkin shaped cantaloupe.
Looks like it bred with a cantaloupe 🤪
DIRT, I MEANT DIRT!!!
OP, please be careful if you plan to eat it. If it tastes bitter, spit it out. That means it’s toxic.
I grew a bunch of buternutsqumkins this year. By accident. They taste really good though.
