This is a type of bromeliad. I don’t know about its care but hopefully this gives you somewhere to start on google!

*Vriesea splendens* (flaming sword bromeliad). Keep the cup filled with water and the soil lightly damp, not soaked. Don’t let it dry out fully. Bright filtered light. Once the inflorescence dies, the mother plant will die afterward. It will hopefully produce more pups before then. Wait until they’re at least one third the size of the mother to remove and pot.

Once the bloom is done, they will make “pups” that might grow into a new plant. I have found they’re hard to continue to grow after this happens but it won’t be for a while with yours . Minimal water, direct sun. They’re pretty while they last

There’s a bromeliad sub. I’d check there for help.

When death blooms…end of life for this plant once it blooms it does. I dont see any pups yet(2 to 3 lil mini plants on the bottom) they usually pop those up then bloom cause they die after the bloom..
