Im August kam es versehentlich zu einer Überwässerung. Ich habe es trocknen lassen und in den nächsten Wochen weniger gegossen, um das Problem nicht zu verschlimmern, aber es wird immer schlimmer. Ich habe fast alle Blätter verloren und musste eine Pflanze komplett entfernen. Egal, wie sehr ich versuche, das Gießen einzuschränken, den Zeitplan zu ändern oder dosiert zu gießen – die Blätter werden immer wieder weich und blass und fallen dann ab. Ich weiß, dass man das Gießen nicht rückgängig machen kann, aber ich verstehe nicht, wie das immer noch passieren kann, obwohl ich jetzt viel weniger gieße als früher. Bitte helfen Sie, diese Pflanze bedeutet mir sehr viel und ich werde eine Panne haben, wenn ich sie nicht retten kann.

Easter cactus (*Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri* and *R. x graeseri*) is bit more dramatic and needier than Thanksgiving^1 and Christmas^2 cacti. Like its relatives it isn’t desert plant but epiphytic one and prefers well breathing but still somewhat moisture retentive soil.
It’s susceptible to root rot in too compact and wet soils, but also dislikes drying out too much. Reaction to overwatering and underwatering is essentially the same: pads start to drop. I think you have made too many rapid changes to its care, first by letting roots suffocate and then by not giving enough water.
Do root systems feel firm when you gently pull stems? If yes, roots are probably healthy and your plants just need time to recover. In this case just return to your old routine if it worked before. They’ll rebound when given time.
If roots feel loose, or if stems feel mushy, take plants off the soil and investigate roots. Repot if necessary. You can also take cuttings and push them into soil to root to have extra plants in case main cacti die.
To avoid problems with root suffocation in future, i’d suggest to use bit more airier substrate. Ensuring that soil mix allows proper oxygen flow to root system even when moist makes care much easier.

What kind of soil is it in? And is there a drainage hole on the bottom? If there isn’t a drainage hole you need to put it in a pot with drainage. Or a nursery pot that you can put inside the ceramic pot. I would not put a drop of water on her unless it’s dry at least halfway down the pot.
