      You sure its a spider plant and not Draecena palm burried too dep in soil? Looks more like Draecena “Sunray” than any spiderplant I’ve seen. The palm needs very little water and likes more dry environment than spider plants, so that could explain why? Brown leaves suggest too much water/ root rot, so check the roots in every case. And give it lots of light.
