Meanwhile, the tomato plant that I put in the absolute perfect environment and paid constant attention to looks like it got addicted to meth halfway through the summer 😭

Lunatic idea: demolish the bricks and rescue the plant. Transplant into a pot and overwinter him. It’s the least you can do for your friend.

I simply CANNOT grow a tomato on purpose. Only my volunteers give me good fruit. And I still have to neglect it bc if I touch it then it will die again 😂

I had a bean plant growing from a paver wall all summer. Im guessing a critter tried to hide it there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a dandelion… But a tomato plant? That’s interesting!

Yup. I currently have a straggly tomato plant from last year, where it must have fallen next to my potting bench. I’m rooting for it, but don’t have much hope since it’s so late in the season

I work at a restaurant where they spray out the trash cans at the end of the night. Most of the water flows into a small little pebble-laden area. The other day, I noticed there was a very developed tomato plant and multiple strawberry plants growing in the little area. Im definitely gonna clone it and see what variety it might be. I imagine it’s a san marzano style, but it totally could be some heirloom as we got a lot of them earlier in the year.

Bro literally, I grow tomatoes in pots and they suffer and get nutrient deficient. Theres a random tomato growing in my ditch and it is BEAUTIFUL, dark green foliage, no blossom end rot. Next year I’m thinking of just chucking my tomatoes in the ditch and seeing how they do lol

My best success with tomatoes are the ones that grown in random places from bird shit or discarded fruits. These by far are hardier, longer living and yield more fruit that any seedlings I put in the ground

I have a grape tomato growing out of the gravel in my driveway. It looks amazing and is producing several tomatoes.
