  1. I have this same exact plant that was doing so poorly in my windowsill I finally put them on the back porch and they look better than ever. I’ll probably have to bring mine in for winter and hope they don’t die lol.

My Tradescantia died and I put it outside to throw it out but kept forgetting about it. Now I have 2 humongous plants and 3 smaller ones. 🙃

I also have three alocasias that did the same, came back from the dead while I was expecting them to die.

Now, to clarify, I did not want them dead, but during a house move they didn’t fare well, and all leaves dropped, so just left them out.

  3. One of the biggest issues people tend to face when gardening or caring for plants is the tendency to overcare. They’re not on the same metabolic time scales as us so we tend to need to learn to be a little negligent or ignoring of them in order to get the best growth. If your intent was to just let it go- it may be the neglect it needed to thrive! Especially if you’ve been watering a lot lately. (Fast growth after a lot of rain type thing.)

  4. So this is what we’re coming to? Just stop “caring” for plants and turn to ignoring them 🤣
