I got lavender last year and it grew kind of wild. I might do this today, thanks

I don’t know if it’s the type of Lavender or because I am in Scotland but my lavender continues to flower through November, so I always have to cut it back in spring.

Noooo, lavender is supposed to be big and bushy along paths, so that our long skirts brush it and release the scent as we walk past!

Looks great. For anyone unsure: UK timing is late summer after flowering. Cut back to a couple inches of green growth, avoid old woody bits, and shape into domes so they dont split over winter.

I walked past someone trimming lavender earlier. The smell was great!

8 8 8 rule for lavender. On the 8th day of the 8th month take it back by 8 inches. Keeps it compact, bushy and fresh looking. Also guarantees beautiful flowering next year.
