Amazing. I am not sure I would have the same result but that is great to see. Nice work
Great work…well done 👍
I am beyond envious of this set up. I would love to find and house hedgehogs in my garden.
It’s a lovely space you’ve created
Great work!
I’ve read that the opening to hedgehog houses would ideally face a wall/fence, about 6 inches away. It makes it harder for predators (foxes, cats, badgers) to disturb them. Hedgehogs are less likely to use a house when the entrance faces an open space. They also like to move along edges (or hedges, of course), so they’re more likely to find the entrance.
For anyone wondering why the kids in the pic are weighted down, it’s a good idea to weight a hedgehog house (and even fix it down) because a determined badger, even if unsuccessful at getting in, will still cause a lot of distress in the attempt if it is able to move it.
OP, thank you for showing such care for hedgehogs! Goodness knows they need our help
You are amazing. Excellent job. 👊
I feel like if i did that where i live it would just become rat city.
This is lovely what you’ve done though, iv fond memories of us feeding the hedghogs that would come up my mums garden.
