I just pull it up and try and get to it before it has seeds forming, but just to say it’s some sort of creeping sorrel and definitely not red clover.

Just pull it by hand as fast as it appears and you’re good.

Though I don’t mind it as much as I should, it stays pretty low to the ground, looks okay and helps smother other weeds.

I just let it do its thing around my more established plants.

    3. Try and get all the roots as well (you won’t manage it, but get as much as you can).

It’s a difficult one to eradicate the root system is pretty amazing 20x more underground than on top. Digging or weed killer is only way I’ve found.

    5. Just gonna say I love this plant, very pretty ground cover, much prefer it to some of the other volunteers. And has flowers to boot.

Edit: haven’t tried to remove it, so no tips I’m afraid 🙂

It’s edible and delicious, this stuff – extremely citrussy, great in more or less any salad

I have decided to make my peace with it. It’s hard to get all of the roots up and just comes right back. TBH it has nice little flowers and stays low to the ground. I don’t know of it having negative effects on other plants. If I see some that looks to be getting a little carried away I just pull up what I can and let it do its thing.

annoying invasive but not hugely problematic now at least due to its small height. still not great

I pulled it when I saw it, but frankly glysophate was the only thing that really worked, just watch your nearby plants!

When U dig it out, there is a deep central carrot of root. If U don’t get that out it’ll grow back but if U do it’s job done👍

    11. It’s my first year seeing this in the garden, I’m leaving it for ground cover. Only problem I’ve got with it is they got some kind of orange mouldy stuff on them, so I’ve pulled those ones.
Competing with it are docks, forget me nots, love in the mist and lots and lots of weeds. I’m waiting to see which of the proper things survive
