Its a plumeria and considering its from the dogbanes family known for their toxicity I will suggest you dont eat it unless you really research about it

I don’t know the specific kind of flower but like a thousand of them grow near me
They smell and look amazing but I haven’t tried to eat it, but generally you shouldn’t really eat flowers you find

      It’s called Frangipani. Aka Plumeria.

It’s not an edible flower. So no, you should NOT be eating it. Google for edible flowers for your own safety

Plumeria (frangipani) It’s an ornamental (lei) plant 🌺🌿 It looks like a fondant flower or sugar cookie, but it’s mildly poisonous.

      It is beautiful .𖥔 ݁ ˖⋆.°

    5. Are these the flowers they use in Hawaii for leis around your neck as welcome greetings ?

Broccoli is a flower you can eat before it blooms, but not plumeria.

Why does everyone want to eat every plant? So many may smell like heaven but are pretty toxic. Don’t see it made as tea or in the fruits and vegetables section, but known as perfume ingredients (and they are formulated to be safer) don’t eat it!

      >Found in Bermuda!

You likely picked it off someones tree. Don’t do that.

I have 2 of these in large pots. They have a “milky” sap (like milkweed) that can cause skin irritation simular to poison ivy. If you want poison ivy type rash/blisters in your mouth (& other fascinating places as you try to digest this…..have at it, let us know how it went.

This is a plumeria, and please do not eat it. The milk from the tree and flower is poisonous. Not sure how poisonous, but nevertheless it is.

Thank you guys for the comments! I did NOT eat it I promise, mama raised me good. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t tempted too!

It’s very delicious smelling..I get it but don’t do that.

Just buy a frangipani perfume if you enjoy the smell. Jo Malone makes a nice one.

Plumeria blossom. It reminds me of salted butter on fluffy white toast too. Don’t eat it though.

In OP’s defence: Frangipane is a delicious almond based sweet cake in Belgium. If it smells remotely like that I understand the urge to eat it.
