I’d say it’s being under watered. I water all my pothos once a week, less in the winter months. Especially since it’s getting direct sun consistently.

You might have underwatered it. Did you water it when the soil was almost completely dry out, or, you watered only when you remember?

This is actually a Scindapsus pictus often called a satin pothos and it looks thirsty like others have said. I’d say she needs a good 15 min soak, then let water run through, then return her to her spot. Should perk back up in no time 🙂

I’ll second everyone else. Generally yellow leaves mean unhappy roots. If it’s in the southern window, it might be getting cooked. If you feel like you’re giving it enough water, what might be happening is it is transpiring and getting water logged at the same time. If you feel this might be the case and if you feel it’s too damp, I would lay off the watering and then wrap the plant in a clear bag to humidify it so it evens out and doesn’t lose too much moisture through the leaves.

  5. Satin Pothos are tropical plants from warm humid area They want to have soil that never dries out. Once the top inch or two is dry you’ll want to water. I’m watering mine several days a week right now. They also prefer a little shade so you might have it in too sunny a spot. Good luck!

I have a bunch of these plants. Imo, you’re over watering it. I know some say water from the bottom I never have and I of my plnts are huge. Good luck

  7. I struggled with root rot hard core with mine, to the point I’m down to one nodule. I know a lot of people said underwatering but root rot if progressed far enough can make the plant look thirsty because they don’t have healthy roots to get water.

I bottom watered this plant too and it got to where if it even sat for 6 hours in stagnant water I had to start fighting the root rot again. I have plants I water from the top and plants I water from the bottom, and I have one or two that are super thirsty despite how much I water them that sit in the water that drained off of them from top watering because within three hours they suck up the excess. This plant though… idk man, in my experience its finicky (more so than my calatheas) and I dont think I’ll get another one for some time.
