To me, this looks like root issues – too much salt/minerals and not enough water.

Id be inclined to give it a medium slow soak (put the hose on drip for 18 hours), and then two cups of water _every_ morning and another soak in 5 days.

In 10 days change the water routine to1 litre every 3rd day. In 20 days give it a 1/2 dose of full spectrum fertiliser.

Hopefully, you’ll see a health tree in 3 months.

Tip: Dont remove the dead leaves for 2 months – the tree might be pumping excess salt into the leaves.

If they have been in the same pots & compost for 4 years then they will need repotting.

I’d second advice about repotting, good water. Smaller bay trees sometimes struggle a bit with wind if that is a factor where you are or in their position.

Generally bays want to be quite a bit bigger than people would like them to be so I’d look at the roots first
