I saw this and thought it was a plant your therapist has for clients to vent to 😂

That’s a tree of heaven. Super resilient and also super invasive.
There is probably a tree of heaven outside the building. It sends sprouts out in every possible direction.

    3. That’s GOT to be a “tree of heaven.” r/gardening would lose their shit over this hahaha. (They’re super invasive.)

      Tree Of Heaven

Insanely invasive- incredibly hard to kill. Sends out underground sucker roots and pops up like this. Has to have pesticides injected into the trunk in the fall to kill.

Cutting it only encourages growth like a hydra. It doubles down.

Wrecks foundations. Incredibly awful plant. Look up arborists in your areas with experience. It takes tenacity to kill it.

    5. I hope your therapist doesn’t have a home office, because this thing is *wrecking* her foundation.

    6. What’s the name for phobia of this kind of thing 🥲 i think Jumanji damaged me as a kid for life

Plant stuff aside, I’m more curious about their probable HVAC issues. That’s the air return for the AC/furnace. How the heck is it in there? That legit should not exist. There’s a leak in that ductwork. Plants should not even be able to get in there. They should investigate that if they own the building or talk to the landlord if they rent. I wonder if they have that fan because the AC probably sucks.

Seeing Tree of Hell in my vent would actually make me spiral

Wow, I’m dumb. I thought you meant this was a plant that patients can vent to lol.

I love how no one is talking about how f*cking weird this is and that someone with a business thinks its acceptable to let it come and go out of the hvac system year after year. Tf?

I’m guessing that if there’s enough moisture in the vent to support a plant, there’s enough moisture to support Legionella, too

If I went to a therapist and saw a Tree of Heaven growing out of the vents, I would take that as a sign to check out asap.

“Sorry to barge in like this, but I just have to VENT🌱-”

“We’ve been over this: You need to make an appointment like everyone else.”
