I had 9 caterpillars hanging out on my fennel last weekend! I was so excited, I’m sure my neighbors were perplexed about my squeals and “welcome everybody!” exclamations with no other people visible lol.

      They will eat them
All up ! Good food for the caterpillars! Yay!!

    3. I do not like parsley or fennel but I grow them both for these guys and where do I find them all hanging out? On my neighbors grapevine! Ungrateful bastards. I love them

Awe and eeeww all at the same time lol. I’ll go but my parsley for now 🤣

    5. This is so very cool. Hopefully you’ll have a swarm of beautiful butterflies soon. My wife and I were at a local garden center (she took a class there) I saw “Caterpillar Candy” all 1/2 price, I bought a few, and have planted them in my garden (Outside Nashua NH, so they are in early enough, I hope to survive our winter) Hoping for a nice little swarm myself next spring/summer

I randomly eat a parsley leaf every time I go out in the garden, I love the fresh flavor. I should start checking them.

    7. The one time I had swallottail caterpillars on my parsley, they ate it all and were gone the next day. I assume that means the birds got to them. Is there any point in protecting the caterpillars from birds?

I was wondering why those guys were so interested in my parsley
