You could freeze the jar, maybe? A few days shouldn’t harm the seeds but would likely kill the weevils. I would not use anything liquid as the seeds would likely rot even if you try to dry them, or start sprouting.
I have no experience with these bugs, but maybe you could try shaking the shit out of it?

Freezer for a few days at least will do the trick.
Can seeds be vacuum sealed? The lack of oxygen will kill insects.
Since hollyhocks like cold stratification, pop them in the fridge. I’d do more research before freezing a seed- the water could burst the cell walls. Professional seed storage takes the ideal moisture content into account. Some seeds storage involves dehumidifier & freezer.
I understand this is a question about dealing with pests, but I was a little bit excited to find one of those little snoots lol

Put a sieve on the top and fill it with dry ice. It will fill the jar with carbon dioxide and suffocate the weevils
You could try some dry ice. It sublimates into CO2 and pushes oxygen out of the jar, suffocating the critters. Wear gloves when handling and put it in a well ventilated area.
Freezer. We used to do it with cracked corn all the time.
one further option i don’t see written is just adding a tablespoon of diatomaceous earth, giving it a shake and letting it do its thing. the bugs will eventually come into contact with it and it will scratch up their carapaces.
Carbon dioxide.
Poke holes in a lid. Put a canning funnel in the jar, holey lid in it, pop some dry ice on the lid.
Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and it’ll force all the air out of the jar, killing the bugs and not harming the seeds at all.
Couple tablespoons of Diatomaceous earth and shake it up

You need to flood the jar with either carbon dioxide or nitrogen! The little buggers require O2 like everyone else, and nitrogen and CO2 are used to top up wine bottles to push the air out that way you prevent any sort of oxidation of the wine. That way you do not run the risk of damaging your seeds in the freezer. You can very easily buy the co2 or nitrogen online along with the tool to dispense it into your container. Though i would find a smaller jar that way it is easier to get rid of their breathable air.

Alternatives to the freezer party: 1) a handful of crushed bay leaves (other laurels would probably work) – used in entomologist killing jars since forever, or acetone (commonly in nail varnish remover) does the same thing, then screw on the lid for an hour and see. I’d stop the liquid acetone from touching the seeds by putting it on a cotton wool ball on a jam jar lid or something.
Also, how many acres of hollyhocks are you looking to grow?
Freezer. It’s where I keep my seeds anyway lol (if they can’t handle freezing they can’t grow in my Nordic soil, and so many seeds actually need it).

If the seeds are dry I would just freeze them for 24 hours. That should kill bugs pretty well. Seeds take frost and cold all the time in nature.
Use a vacuum adapter and vacuum seal the jar.
Dry Ice. Just don’t seal the lid until it’s completely sublimated or….💣

Refrigerant from a can of duster.
Just replace the air in the jar with the “air” from the duster can.

Not only did I learn how to get rid of hollyhock weevils the quick and easy way, I also got a full college course on what CO2 is along with the dos and don’ts of CO2 including how to make CO2 bombs and where to place them. Simply sprinkle in a little diatomaceous earth and shake it up.

You can buy it pretty much anywhere. It’s cheap.
It’s just a white powder, harmless to us but will kill the bugs.
Put a little food grade diotamatious earth in that jar, put the lid on, and shake it up. It will kill them in a few days,and your seeds will be none the worse for wear.
I usually dust my hollyhock seeds it diatomaceous earth.
