Meine Ex-Freundin hat mir vor ein paar Monaten dieses Kokedama geschenkt – es war lebendig und gedieh, aber seit unserer Trennung verfiel ich in eine Depression und vernachlässigte meine Pflanzen, jetzt sieht es so aus. ist es zum Scheitern verurteilt? Kann ich irgendetwas tun, um es zu retten? Ich habe es immer noch jedes Mal in Wasser eingeweicht, wenn es sich superleicht und trocken anfühlt. Es ist ziemlich schwierig, online Informationen dazu zu finden. Ich hoffe, dass mir hier jemand helfen kann!

It still has some green maybe it didn’t like where it was maybe needs more light or love, believe it or not talking to your plants helps them grow as they are living things too, maybe it didn’t like the plants it was near, try to look up natural fertilizers you can use to boost what its lacking
Asparagus fern! It hates direct light, it’ll scorch as such. Maybe it’ll survive but take it out of any direct light and keep moist.

might have hope if its roots didn’t completely dry out – also i’m assuming by “neglect” you mean it wasn’t watered (vs it being overwatered)
hard to tell in the photo, but if there’s anything dead / dry you can just trim it off. it won’t come back. hopefully it’ll grow new ones if you continue to care for it regularly.
their leaves delicate, so they require lots of humidity, like a bathroom – if you have lots of light. *typically* you don’t need to worry much about too much light if it’s indoors, just keep an eye on it drying out.
Feed it water when dry, speak words of love and kindness when the sun is up.
Alternate idea… if you’re feeling so rough about the breakup, are you sure you want a memento of the breakup, which could easily die in the future as well? (The catch 22 of giving houseplants after a funeral is similar) I think it might be a sign from the universe encouraging you to look forward, and not back. Hang in there 💗💗
