Ich bin letzten November in ein neues Haus gezogen, das diesen schönen Pfirsichbaum im Hinterhof (Zentral -Texas -Gegend) hat. Ich habe es im Februar ein wenig zurückgeschnitten, nicht sicher, ob es sich um Früchtelager handelte. Es ist! Aber die Früchte in diesem Jahr kamen nie größer als eine große Walnussgröße. Wie schwer muss ich es nächstes Jahr zurückschneiden, um anständige Früchte zu bekommen? Es ist ungefähr 20 Fuß am höchsten. Ich weiß, dass sie mehr Licht und Luft brauchen, die die aktuelle Form erlaubt, aber ich möchte auch keinen wackeligen Baum in der Mitte meines Gartens.

there are lots of videos on YouTube that will walk you thru it. Pruning is best done when the tree is dormant in winter. The small fruit size could be from the need to thin the crop when they are small. Peaches should never be closer that 6 inches from each other for better sized fruit. They also need regular spraying to protect from the plum curculio among other things. Nice looking tree!
My peaches don’t ripen till mid or late September, but you may have a different variety of course (and you’re likely in a different region). The amount of peaches varies WILDLY where I’m at, the tree flowers early so a late frost or heavy storm is killer. My biggest haul was 90 kg. Last year I had one peach.
