Is it inside or outside? I had a mallard duck in my living room for 3 days once, but that’s a different Reddit topic

One day I was out w my 6 year old when my 12 year old called. First, he asked if he could go for bike ride w neighbors. Then, he asked what to eat . And then he quietly says, “mom there is a duck in the living room.” (Note the importance to 11 yr boy)
Ran home and sure as day was the duck . It was riled and flew front to back of house. I called animal rescue in our farm town. She says, “we hate it when people get ducks in their house (really??!!)
Wanted to know if I could wait 3 days until the Jed Clampett critter catcher could come. We sorta knew something was in the house for days prior, I thought a sparrow. So a neighbor helped us catch it in a beach towel and we let him go. It became quite a neighborhood spectacle. Every time my neighbors saw us they quacked at us the whole summer.
