You could. Not an issue. The plant is going to look hideous tho. You’re better off looking into air layering. With this method you could eventually chop the plant and replant. You’ll have a fuller looking base that way.
You should just move it directly in front of a window and all the leaves will move towards the light
Another option is to use twine (or something similar) to loosely tied them around the central stem, forcing them up.
In general tho a grow light would do that plant wonders — they sell little clip on ones on Amazon for cheap. Monstera’s will very actively turn towards light, so the current setup (good light on one side, none on the other) is confusing it! That’s why it’s tough to get the leaves facing *you* without a grow light between you and them.
I agree with the comment suggesting brighter light. Removing the leaves means that the plant will have less available energy for growth. This can cause newer foliage to be reduced in size.
edit: Removing the leaves also will result in the plant drying the pot more slowly, which can compromise root health in some situations.
