It looks really good Id wait longer tho. I think you typically want more roots About three decent size ones id say .

You can either leave it, practically forever in the water (it’s a pothos, it’ll do just fine), or you can plant it into soil. A few plants may require longer roots, certainly the “fancier” types, but a pothos? Pothos are not only extremely willing to grow, but they are also really great for teaching newbies how to prop.

They also put off a naturally occuring rooting hormone, into the water. Soooo, if there’s something else you wish to “root”, pop it in with the pothos snip. I usually keep a snip in a jar just for these sort of rooting opportunities.

For this one, go ahead and pop into soil.

Make certain that the pot isn’t too big, remember: plants don’t like wearing big boy pants until they are ready.

    Enjoy….

and congrats on your first successful rooting!!

((Standard “rule” is 2-3 inches of roots, but that really depends on the variety, etc. Delicate roots like begonia? I usually plant into soil at 1 inch. Just: a nice healthy bit to get them going.))
