Cucumbers should be picked on the smaller side, as soon as they swell and look like they are about to be “fat” they are not as tasty, but of course still edible, and make for great pickles at any stage.

If I may ask, what exactly is recycled? I try to do the same, using leftovers from when we build our home, but I am always curious as to how others do it.
For example, is the shed a kit, or did you build yourself? The brick looks recycled as it’s different models I guess?
Also, how did you achieve that empty spot on the left? Just sand on the ground with weed barrier underneat, or carbdoard or other mulch, or some other method?
I have all kinds of battles with surfaces as I don’t have it in me to lawn the entire thing, so I basically mow lots of native herbs, sometimes wild grains until it’s all just a natural mulch of dead straw, but it’s not too pretty and am looking into other things.
Yours looks like a nice little setup indeed!
