It is fine to rotate
I rotate my rubber trees daily
a lot of people recommend rotating plants occasionally so all sides get time in more direct light. unless it’s like a climbing plant inmost cases.
I rotate my plants every so often just so everything gets even light
Depends on the plant. Mostly fine, but plants like Pilea peperomioides (ufo plant) will kill the leaves that are not looking at the sun. Or at least my drama queen does…
Yes, it evens out the growth. One of my pileas almost toppled over because it was growing towards the light so much that the stem was bent. Should have rotated it more often.

Yes but some-to-alot of darker coloured plants like the shade too, just do some research online of the specific type of plant/strains should be okay, maybe start with a 1/4-1/2 turn through out the week
No, it might work out it is trapped in a pot and escape.
I rotate all my plants 1/4 turn at each watering, otherwise they all grow toward the window and get lopsided.

I also regularly rotate my window plants unless the growth pattern prohibits it. Got a Christmas cactus that’s grown all towards one side but a Ming Thing cactus that grows more evenly from rotation. The plant in the pic would probably benefit.
