I belive this is a Polka Dot Plant or if your going by its government name, a Hypoestes phyllostachya. I’ve never owned one before but its on my wish list. Its a beautiful plant!😍

I LOVED my polka dot plant. I lost mine, but it was due to my own neglect. I had it for about 3 years and look forward to my next.
I know what it says on Google. But through some observation and trial and error, here’s what I did with mine: at least partial direct sunlight every day, either morning or evening, for at least a few hours. Mine loved sunlight. I also gave it water every other day. Just a good bit right in the middle of where the roots would be. Mine exploded. It got as big as my torso, was shooting out plants with both pink and red dots, and flowered all the time. It overwintered fine but was fussy. It loved being outside during nice weather.
I don’t know if this could work for yours, I know a lot of people say they can’t grow them. But following this pattern, mine couldn’t stop growing. I simply let it go for about two weeks without water by accident while it was big, flowering, and already struggling with the weather change… and by the time I realized, it was completely gone. No chance of saving anything. Just dead.
I think I’ll go and get a new one tomorrow. Best of luck with yours! I hope my method works for you as well, I know they’re picky plants according to most, but for me it was most fascinating and hearty plant I’ve ever had. It did better than any of my pothos!!

These are super dramatic plants. If they start to droop, it’s time to water! Here’s my notes I made on it
All the ones I have every had become very leggy, Idk why or how to prevent that but good luck!

I got a red version about a month ago and so far (touch wood) I’m not sure what the big deal is with their care.
Mine is about 2 feet away from my south window, slightly shaded by other plants depending on the time of day. Scottish light, so definitely not as intense as warmer areas.
I don’t let it dry out completely, and I’m about to give it its first chop as its grown so much the past few weeks.
Considering getting another colour or two because they’re just so pretty!

Oh my gosh my mom had a part of her plant break and I threw it in a jar with water hoping we would be able to propagate it!!
Your plant looks so nice and healthy!!

I got one & got some of its babies growing in water, boy the roots have really taken off, I’m using the water from my pothos water props, pothos water contains a lot of auxins which acts as a natural rooting hormone.. my granny taught me this.. I keep alot of pothos in water for this very reason.. just to use that water to start more props.. it never ends I always want more growing 😂😂😂you got a beauty there!!!

Hypoestes phyllostachya pink / polka dot pink
easy to maintain but they grow strangely and don’t like to dry

Mine is getting on my nerves as we speak. She is super fussy during warmer weather. I’ll never get rid of her, though.

Love them I think they’re so pretty. If you look up dramatic in the dictionary this plant is the example. The MOMENT it needs water leave droop. I swear you can blink and the leaves will droop. When you water they prop right back up again.
Picked one up the other day along with some kalanchoe succulents. Very pretty variegation. I plan to under plant it beneath the canopy of a Balfour aralia(green and yellow variegation) once I put it in its new planter

I got a few of these a month or two ago and without learning anything about them put them outside where they get a lot of evening sun and they didn’t seem to like it, so I brought one inside and its doing great while the rest just seem to be…surviving. I’d never seen them before, though, and I loved them! I got two of the ones you’ve got and two green with white spots. The green with white spots seemed most unhappy, while the red with white seem a little heartier, but I know next to nothing still. I see comments that I’m definitely going to be making note of so I can care for mine better.
