Drill holes put neat glyphosate in and tape over the top. Can’t risk it spreading further or getting seedlings elsewhere in the garden or property.

Buddleja’s becoming a real pest. I know butterflies love it and it’s welcome for that but I’m seeing self-seeded buddleja on roofs, in drainpipes, in cracks in paving and of course in gardens. Trouble is, it isn’t just a low-growing annual like many weeds. It’s a long-lived fairly tall shrub.

I’ve recently just dug my Buddleja up. I had the one that basically grows on motorwards and train tracks. Absolute amazing the wildlife it attracted but boy did it run rampant. I gave up this year. Took it out the ground. Boy was that tough.

I’ve been gradually cutting up the main stalk when I get 5, its been laying in a corner ontop of a concrete slab. Fecking thing started growing again….
