Crickets or grasshoppers
Mine look like this and it’s slugs. It’s a constant battle every year.
Looking closer at the top of the plant it could be an animal. Any rabbits around?
Slugs are definitely taking hostages.
I used sluggo and still got damage too Their favorite victims in my garden was basil.
No idea but your Hosta appears to be getting eaten. Perhaps you should let your hostage go?
