They reproduce very easily. I had one two years ago and have potted up about 10 new plants from it.

Definitely Centaurea – cornflower. Not a weed. Unless you don’t want it there.

Centaurea – I love them! I keep trying to get the ‘amethyst in snow’ variety (flowers are white with purple centres) but I seem to be cursed…

    4. Oh bloody hell…another plant to add to the wishlist. That is very pretty!

Seriously I am going to run out of space and what do I do then? There is only so much lawn the husband will let me steal for flower beds and my back garden is not big! I already have my eye on the front lawn too…

I have this. It’s beautiful. I call it the gas ring plant.

      Centaurea (perennial cornflower).
You can get some plug plants & they should Flower this year.

People always warn me that these spread quickly.
      Good.
      The bees adore them.

    7. I thought I’d killed my knapweed last year so bought some more seeds in the winter. Lo and behold, that plant is in beautiful condition this spring and full of buds that should be in flower to coincide with next week’s hot weather. In the meantime, I now have a pack of seeds and no spare pots.

I love these – now I’ve seen your picture, I’m going to add those to my garden centre list 😊
