If there’s green, there’s a chance.

Yes. Just put it in dirt. Give it a little water now and then. It’s perfectly alive.

I have aloe on my patio in worse shape than that lol

Absolutely! She’s going to be fine!
Trim off that dead stuff close to the stem. It’s going to fall off eventually and not looking at it will make you feel better.
Stick it in chunky dirt. I use about a 60/40 mix of potting soil and perlite, but a bag of succulent mix will be fine. They tend to be more flexible than most aloes. Keep it in as snug a pot as you can. A little 4″ nursery pot (or Target has some small plastic pots with good drainage at a good price) will work great. It just needs to drain water well.
When you plant it in dirt, give it a week to just hang out and get used to the new digs. After that, water it super thoroughly, let that water run out the bottom of the pot for a while, just give it a good soak.
Once it’s watered, give it a place where it gets indirect light all day. A windowsill where it can see the sky all day but the sun only a little bit (if at all) is best, but a spot kind of close to a window will be fine. Too much light will sunburn it, but a good view of the sky will keep it very happy.
The hardest part is: leave it alone. Just let it hang out there. If you think you should water it, use one of those cheap wooden kebab skewers and stick it in the dirt. If it comes out dry, go ahead and water. You can also water if you realize you forgot it for 2 months and the leaves are weirdly squishy. It’s still fine, just thirsty. Thirsty is fine, too wet is sad.
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,
A lady with 16 kinds of aloes who just gets really excited about them. I know I’m bonkers, but your baby even still has roots! Everything is a-ok!
ETA: this one is mature enough to start making “pups” or more baby Aloe shooting out the roots. Just leave them be. Aloe is a weird plant that likes lots of roommates, if it gets lonely it makes more company. Still fine, but more pups means it drinks water faster so it just may need more frequent watering.

These guys have survived me killing every other plant in my house, they thrive no matter what. Easiest option is to stick it in dirt and mine loved to be root bound. Don’t particularly like direct mid day sunlight but love bright indirect light all day. Found it hard to over water them as well. Good luck 🪴🫡

No joke, that aloe could live for a couple of years or more indoors like that, unplanted. Less outdoors, due to climate stresses.

It looks thriving….root is so healthy. Just put it in a well draining soil and maybe water it when you remember the plant.
