We dug a few of these or last year. I have a very heavy strong builders fork , worked this in a few places around it. The with a piece of timber 6×2 or bigger as a fulcum lifted the bloody things out

Where the ground was VERY wet aka boggy it was a lot easier so if you have a jet washer use this around the base to loosen or remove soil.

    2. I had some that I removed last year. Had to dig it out, a large garden fork was the most handy tool I used. Not sure if it’ll work with the fence there, you might just need to be carful.

They grow quite shallow, a mattock would get it out in 3-4 hits, some local guy will have one surely? A neighbour or relative?
