Ich habe mein erstes Haus in einem neuen Bauwesen gekauft und möchte meinen Garten so wild lebendig wie möglich bekommen. Ich wollte mit einheimischen Pflanzen eine Hecke entlang des rechten Zauns aufstellen.
Derzeit betrachtet man eine Mischung aus: Hawthorn, Hasel, Bird Cherry, Guelder Rose, Hunderose und Ältester.
Meine Fragen sind: 1. Ist das eine gute Idee? Ich weiß nicht, ob es gegen den Zaun dumm aussieht, besonders im Winter. 2. Wie viele von jedem muss ich kaufen? Online zu schauen Es scheint ziemlich viel pro Meter mit 2 Ebenen zu empfehlen, aber ich habe das Gefühl, zu viele zu viele zu bestellen
Ich bin sehr neu im Garten, weiß es wirklich nicht!

Hawthorn is lovely but I would also recommend beech hedging. Although it’s classed as deciduous, it holds onto its brown leaves until spring time and then new shoots appear. Best time to plant hedging is the autumn as these are when the plants are dormant too.
Leave out the elder, not a good hedging plant as it tender to make holes in the hedge. Spindlebush works better. Double row of 5-7 plants per metre if they are whips. Woodland Trust sells packs.
It will look good, I would treat the fence with a good preservative before planting any hedge. Most hedges recommend 3 per metre, but with a fence in place in place it doesn’t really matter, you could order around a dozen assorted plants and cover half the fence line.
I would consider a range of ornamental trees that offer you colour and interest all your round. Spring, summer and autumn flowering and fruiting and winter have a couple of Hamamelis red and yellow and winter sweet for scent. A Japanese flowering crab apple, a fan trained delicious apple, a jasmine, a clematis and a lilac. Divine. Choose the focal point for the main event say the crab apple and plant out things in seasonally from left to right.
Definitely hawthorn, most wildlife friendly after oak trees. Blackthorn. You could try a bit of dogwood if its a sunny spot, it’s deciduous but goes bright red. Anything that gets berries & flowers is a win.
